'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming
Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he once was, and would seriously consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
