In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
